ASK THE BEAST

Dear Mr. Beast,
Do you think U of M will win the Rose Bowl Game?
Signed,
A Loyal Wolverine Fan
M go Blue

Dear Wolverine Fan,
Obviously! How could such a fine team lose to a team named after a condom, even using Bo's prevent offense?

Dear Mr. Beast,
Is it true the great X-Men's Wolverine, even with his healing factor can be killed with an overdose of White Castle hamburgers?
Signed,
Magneto

Dear Magneto,
No, it just affects everyone in a 60 yard radius.

Dear Mr. Beast,
Is there life after Winter Camp?
Singed,
The Seeker

Dear Seeker,
Yes, approximately 360 days later, when the next Winter Camp begins.

ULTIMATE FRISBEE

WC Adults destroy WC Youth members. In a fast paced, bone crushing game the WC Adults defeated the WC Youth by a score 14-8

The youth members put up a noble fight and played an excellent game. Two outstanding players were Captain Greg Bumgardner and Tim Hunt. These two players put forth an excellent effort and for a short time the youth led the game 4-3. Unfortunately the youth could not keep the lead. Youth Team Captain, Greg Bumgardner, stated "the reason we lost the game was due to lack of experienced players." (note: this quote is a forgery)

Team Captain for the adults, Doug Wilson, stated this was the reason his team won "It was due to our great skill, and the team's equally strong defense and offense tactics."

As for this reporter this event was a rousing success, and I hope we do it again next year.

One final note to this report: Youth Team Captain, Greg, was quoted saying "just wait 'till next year the youth will totally destroy the old farts on the adult team."

WINTER CAMP--A GROWING TRADITION

I came to winter camp to satisfy a curiosity; what is this 5-day event that everyone talks about? That was eight years ago! Winter Camp is now as much a part of my calendar as Christmas and Thanksgiving. Every year I renew acquaintances with old friends and make a few new ones as well. The traditions gain more meaning with each passing year. I hope Winter Camp 89 has been as enjoyable for each of you as it has been for myself and I look forward to 1990.

LITTLE OZZIES PIZZA

Little Ozzies pizza was great, and most satisfying. The pizza used only the finest and freshest ingredients. We look forward to this great snack next year.

GADGET OF THE DAY

A new and useful gadget built at Winter Camp XIII is the break apart counter surface of the BC Kitchen. As a result of the service project of tearing down the old freezers at the D-A main kitchen and owing to the scrounging nature and general miserliness of Winter Campers, some of the good used lumber was spirited away into the Osvath vehicle for our later use along with a few other items that we felt might be useful.

Winter Camp has steadily grown in the array of tools that are brought up each year so it was no surprise that Mr. Rand came up with a circular saw to fashion a fine covering for the rusty, wretched existing counter top and the rest is history.
