Sampling of comments
The following are some of the comments made on the forms. Comments which offered no constructive value have been omitted; comments or suggestions with a number in parantheses appeared that many times.
- Pass out evaluations up front so we don't have to remember everything at the end.
- One theme for the week (2).
- Control the size of the setup crew and other early arrivals better.
- Pay better attention to drivers/arrivers on the 27th.
- Create an intercabin communication network.
- Have a class on dishwashing on the first day.
- Have a bread baking demonstration.
- Schedule a largely outdoor day (like Matrix Day) early in the week to help kick things off.
- Changing to a single cabin would increase fellowship and would more than make up for breaking with tradition.
- More advance information to non-chapter folks to help with dress-up days and activities which require things be brought from home.
- I think it is a good idea to encourage participation from adults as well as youth. Earning a participation award is more scout-like than buying one on E-Bay.
- Advisers shouldn't plan days; they should only help.
- Have Fun.
- Have a Star Wars or Medevil day.
- Rules of games should be more specific and followed more exactly.
- All games should penalize participants who whine.
- Have a day based on The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings
